a rant of my own

nasheet waits and his father played on andrew hill albums...but they never played together, and both andrew hill and freddie waits are dead. Nasheet wasn't at kilbourn either....just mentioning that he's played with andrew hill. Really interesting music.

I have seen most of maria full of grace, that shit is crazy...you should totally watch it if you have the chance. some parts will make you sick to your stomach, its portrayed fairly realistically.

and i agree with you, but unfourtunately the people in power have a tool called ideology that they use to confuse the public, or basically brainwash them into thinking one way. Its super hard to change because most people don't even know its going on. For instance, the idea that in america everyone is equal...or more specifically has equal opportunity "if you just work hard enough you can do anything" that is 100% bullshit....its true that working hard can help you significantly, but you can't tell all the children in the ghetto, hey just work hard thats all there is, and if you can't make it out then your lazy.....it just doesn't work like that....

BUT we've been told our whole lives it does work like that and despite the 11283918312830 factors that contribute to our situations we are made to believe that as an individual you have the opportunity and are 100% capable of at the very least making a decent living for yourself.....Boy Tony aka Tono is a huge fan of this idea, and he'll argue it to the death, but he is wrong, and im not even going to say its his opinon and i respect it....bc i don't, he's wrong.

anyways, this is not slam tony time, its just an example of why what you said is right and sucks, but also why nothing short of a revolution (possibly an intellectual revolution where people break free from their standard source of information and obtain better more accurate information) but how/when that happens, who knows


Hopefully if we all lead good lives and try to do the right thing always no matter what, then thats a start. thats a small group of people who think differently, and maybe can change others minds....and there are tons of these groups...the key factor is they can't be elitest that have to be open to others and explain and share and invite, as opposed to just being pretentios and saying, those people are bad and i don't want to be associate with them (kinda like i jsut did to tony hahaha)
