im generally not a fan of ads that acknowledge theyre ads, and spoof themselves. some people would argue that these ads are "smart" since consumers arent stupid and know theyre watching an ad anyways. therefore, by making fun of itself, you can stand out. my feeling is that these types of campaigns have very short lived success.
i imagine alot of people will go out and try this product, probably lots of high schoolers or people like jack. probably will buy it once for the joke and never again. i could be wrong, but that is my initial feeling on this
